Earth Hour together with Hotel Guests
On the evening of March 23rd, 2024, from 8.30 PM to 9.30 PM, Mount Lavinia Hotel observed the Earth Hour together with the hotel Guests.
The highlight of the evening was the lighting of a giant 60+ symbol on the ground. This display served as a powerful visual representation of the importance of unity in addressing environmental challenges.
Annual 2 Mile Sea Swim
The “85th Annual Mount Lavinia 2-Mile Sea Swim” organized by Sri Lanka Aquatic Sports Union (SLASU) together with Mount Lavinia Hotel, was successfully held at the Mount Lavinia Hotel beach on 15th and 16th of March 2024, attracting over 760 participants from both local and international backgrounds.
The Prize-giving Ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Hon. Mr. Sagala Ratnayake – Chief of the Presidential Staff Sri Lanka and National Security Advisor, Guest of Honour Vice Admiral Mr. Priyantha Perera and Special Guest Mr. Sanath Ukwatte – Chairman of Mount Lavinia Hotel Group.

Mount Lavinia Hotel launched “MLH Plant-Earth Market”, the country’s first-ever Vegan Market on 25th January (Poya Day) at The Terrace. This market will operate monthly on every Poya day, coinciding with the Hotel’s Vegan Lunch Buffet.
Visitors to the Plant Earth Market were treated to a wide range of vegan products, all of which were Good Market Approved. From vegan clothes to jewelry, musical instruments at the Drum House, arts and crafts, and household goods, attendees had access to an impressive selection of items.
The market operated from 10 AM to 4 PM, providing ample time for attendees to explore and indulge in the vegan offerings.
